Paul “Dean” Butler

Paul “Dean” Butler, 81, of Colorado City, Texas passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

He was born February 7, 1938 to Carl Leonard and Goldie

Marie (Rayburn) Butler in Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Dean grew up in Atwood and Wetumka, Oklahoma. He graduated from Wetumka High School in 1957. He lived in many places most recently in Wichita Falls, TX.

Dean proudly served his country in the National Guard as a young man.

In his younger years he was involved in the Oil & Gas Industry and later became a general contractor in the construction industry.

He loved horses and was involved in the NCHA. He really enjoyed new business adventures all of his life. He loved his family and he focused his travel around family and friends.

Dean was a longtime member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed going to church and was proud of his faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Goldie Butler; four sisters, Gertrude Waddell, Clara Hampton, Virginia Bachus and Ophelia Hooper; and one brother, Leroy Butler.

Survivors include two sons, Johnny Dean and Noki Butler of Puket, Thailand and Bobby Butler and Michael Lang of Seattle, WA; two grandsons, Jacob Butler and Grayson Butler; one sister, Louise Mason of Oklahoma City, OK; two brothers, Claude and Reinette Butler of Wetumka, OK and Kenneth and Barbara Butler, of Ft. Wayne, IN; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Claude Butler, of First Baptist Church, Wetumka, OK officiating. Burial will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, OK under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
