Peggy Ann Brooks peacefully passed away November 7, 2020 in Washington. She was born in Hughes County, Oklahoma October 6, 1932 to James Grafton and Orah Morrow. Peggy and David Brooks married on March 27, 1954 in California

Peggy’s incredible life started after they moved from Hanford to Southeast Asia, Vientiane, Laos where David and Peggy started their diplomatic life. Peggy was accomplished at everything she did. Operatic singing, professional modeling, and exemplary entertaining, briefly working for the CIA during stays in Vientiane, Laos; Manila, Philippines and Jakarta, Indonesia.

Peggy lived life to the fullest. She had a flamboyant personality that served her well throughout her many experiences. Her beautiful singing would fill the room and would leave an awe-inspiring impression. Entertaining was in her blood and performed her function with grace overseas as a diplomat’s wife. She cooked wonderful food – comfort food and exotic dishes from Asia. Peggy has left an indelible mark on us and we will miss her.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband David Brooks, parents James and Orah Morrow, her sisters Reba Stanley, Wilma Shed, Monte Taylor, her brothers-in law Gene Stanley, Ed Nalley, Leonard Taylor and sister-in-law Rosa Morrow. She is survived by her sons James and wife Kristine Brooks from San Juan Capistrano, California, Dennis and wife Susan Brooks from Seattle, Washington, three granddaughters, Emily, Sarah and Hayley Brooks, sisters Wynema Nalley from Holdenville, Oklahoma and Marquetta Vyce from Trophy Club, Texas, brother James Morrow from Holdenville, Oklahoma and many loving nieces and nephews and friends.

Graveside Services was held in Holdenville Cemetery on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1:00pm with Pastor Darrell Brown officiating.
