Private service for J.D. Wilcoxson

J.D. Wilcoxson was born on September 17, 1938 near Wetumka, Oklahoma and passed from this life on May 14, 2020 at the age of 81, Predeceasing J.D. was his parents Ethel (Pack) Wilcoxson and Henry Wilcoxson, his first-born son, James David Wilcoxson and his nephew, Mike Anderson.

J.D. is survived by his brother, Roy Wilcoxson; sister, Hazel (Anderson) Sparks; niece, Pam (Anderson) Burleson; niece, Linda (Abney) Lee and husband Ernie; nephew, Johnny Anderson and wife, Charlene, all of Wetumka, OK; sons, Steven Ray Wilcoxson and wife, Dana of Newcastle, OK; Troy Lee Wilcoxson of Raleigh, NC; Danny Joe Wilcoxson and wife Carol McCain of Hinton, OK; daughter, Kelly Ann (Wilcoxson) Davidson and husband Chuck of Craig, CO; the children’s mother, Margaret E. (White) Boydston of Hinton, OK, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

J.D. served in many roles, some of which were: carpenter, building foreman in California, nationwide truck driver and logger in Southeastern Oklahoma and the Colorado mountains.

J.D. built the family home in Watson, Oklahoma in 1973-1974 where the children grew up.

J.D. “Dad” will be missed by all who knew him and especially those who loved him most: his family and friends.

Our sincere thank you to all who loved and cared for J.D. in any way, especially his nieces, Pam and Linda, brother, Roy and sister, Hazel; his Wetumka friends; Amanda and all the healthcare team at Mays Home Health and Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, Oklahoma.

Per J.D.’s wishes, there will be no public memorial service. The family will celebrate his life privately.
