Rinda Jean Smith was born February 20, 1943 in Hanna, OK to Cecil and Leo (Tabor) Williamson and passed from this life November 27, 2020 in Tulsa at the age of 77. Graveside rites will be held Saturday, December 5 at the Weleetka Hillcrest Cemetery with Dr. Audie Sweeney and Rev. Don Williamson officiating. Her pastor Rev. Raymond Sinohui and Randall Christy, President of The Gospel Station Radio Network, will also have special comments. Visitation will be at the Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home in Wetumka Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

As a child Rinda attended school at Hanna, Dustin, and Weleetka. She later attended Seminole State College and received an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. As a nurse she worked for Dr. Coale in Okemah as well as long-term care facilities. Rinda loved working with children and opened day care centers in Wetumka and Weleetka. This was her passion for several years. She later owned and operated a restaurant in Dustin and worked for the State of Oklahoma setting up nutrition sites for senior citizens. Rinda also worked for the Williamson Funeral Home in Wetumka.

In 1974 Rinda and David Smith “ran off” to Paris, Texas and were married. They made their marriage public when they returned to Dustin for a gathering for her mother’s birthday! Rinda and David had been married forty-six years and made Dustin their home. She had been a member of the Dustin Assembly of God Church for more than fifty years.

Rinda enjoyed searching out flea markets and yard and garage sales. She was always looking for a good deal! She also enjoyed making jewelry - especially the “blingy” kind. She loved Gospel music and attended Gospel concerts all across the region and even took Gospel music cruises. She was a wonderful singer herself and shared her talent in her church and other special events.

Rinda was preceded in death by two sons, Eddie and Dennis Foreman, an infant sister, and two brothers, B.C. and Ray Williamson.

Survivors include: her husband David Smith of the home in Dustin; a daughter, Beverly and husband Dr. Audie Sweeney of Henryetta; 2 step-sons, David Ray and wife Lesa Smith of Weleetka and Steve and wife Mary Smith of Palmyra, Nebraska; a brother William Burl Williamson and wife “Gabby” of Weleetka; a sister JoAnn Brown of Dustin; along with 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Services are under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka.
