Roberta Walker

Roberta (Cudjo) Walker was born June 8, 1931 to George & Viola (Kennedy) Cudjo in Oklahoma City, OK. She went home to be with the Lord at the age of 89 on November 10, 2020. She received her education in Holdenville and graduated from Lincoln High School. She married Bob Walker, Sr on June 16, 1955. She worked in the Holdenville School System as a Teacher’s Aide for 25 years. She retired in May of 1998.

She invited God into her life at an early age at Friendship Baptist Church of Holdenville, OK. She joined Bethel Methodist Church with her husband under the leadership of the late Rev. Claude Perry. She later attended and was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Holdenville under the leadership of Pastor Leman Lewis until her health failed her.

She loved singing, reading, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the Lord, her pastor, her family, and her church family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Viola Cudjo, Son- Glen Edward Newson, daughter- Harwell Walker Blue, grandson- Jeremiah Walker; brothers; John Cudjo, Sr, A. C. Kennedy, and Herlin Kennedy.

She is survived by her loving children: Mary Colbert of Ft Worth, TX, Bob Walker, Jr. (Rochelle) of Denver, CO, and Brenda Walker Carolina of Holdenville, OK. Grandchildren: Freda Colbert of Bali, Indonesia, Erwin Kirk Blue, Jr. of Ada, OK, Cassie Carolina of Shawnee, OK, Calla Carolina-Anderson of Grapevine, TX, Jamaal Walker of Oklahoma City, OK, Bobby Walker (Lily) of Ft Walton Beach, Florida, Chanelle Walker of Houston, TX, and Dominick Walker of Denver, CO. Great-grandchildren: Rashawd Daniels, Kalila Duck, Jamarrionna & Jamarriyae Lyons, and Kyrianna Walker as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
