Funeral services for Ronnie Joe Guinn Sr. were held Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah. Interment followed at the Morse Cemetery of Okemah.

Ronnie Joe Guinn Sr. was born September 17, 1944 in Hanna, Oklahoma to James Emerson Guinn and Minnie Ozine (Teem) Guinn. He passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in McAlester, Oklahoma at the age of 77.

Ronnie worked as a cross country truck driver for more than 30 years before he retired in 2015. He enjoyed fi shing, gardening and tinkering with engines. He also proudly served his country with the United States Army having been stationed in Korea. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Gene Emer

He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Gene Emerson Guinn; two sisters, Letha Belle Scrimshire and Georgia Lue and fi ve brothers, Gene Austin, Howard, James, John and Noah Guinn.

Survivors include his son, Ronnie Guinn Jr. of Holdenville; three daughters, Cheryl Strech of Holdenville, Karen Norred of Woodstock, Georgia and Beverly Merriman of Holdenville; one brother, Jerry Guinn of Okemah; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home and offi ciated by Rev. Bill Harris.
