Sandra “Sue” Lewis passed away Monday, April 3, 2023 at her home in Wetumka, Oklahoma at the age of 84.

Sue was born February 14, 1939 in McCamey, Texas and was raised by Guy and Amanda Keaton. Sue graduated from Lula High School. Sue married Delmer (Peewee) Lewis on April 1, 1996 in Okemah. She is a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Weleetka. Sue was a cashier at Homeland Grocery Store for many years. Sue loved camping, fishing, riding horses, spending time with her family, never met a stranger in her life. She enjoyed reading books in her spare time.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents; brother Ronnie Peoples; sister Juanita Larney; grandsons Benjamin Wainscott, Cody Wainscott and Jeffery Wainscott.

She is survived by her husband Delmer (Peewee) Lewis; sons Joe and wife KK of Wetumka, Billy Don of Sacramento, California, Terry of Greenville, North Carolina, Robbie and wife Donna of Gerty, Gary of Yeager, and Brennon of Wetumka; grandchildren Brandy, Benny Joe, Taylor, Lexi, Cody, Stormy, Jesse, David, Lacey, and Chili; multiple great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; siblings Paula Mineo of Washington, and Jay Stokes of San Diego, California. Sue is survived by numerous other relatives and friends. Viewing was held 1:00 to 7:00 pm, Saturday, April 8, and 1:00 to 5:00 pm, Sunday, April 9, at Hudson- Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Funeral servicewas held 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 10, at the First Baptist Church in Weleetka, Oklahoma with Pastor Dale Smith officiating. Interment followed at Weleetka Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Joe Wainscott, Brennon Lewis, Michael MacMahan, Kenny Fleshman, Larry Peoples, and Billy Don Wainscott. Honorary pallbearers are Taylor Wainscott, Love Wainscott, Terry Scott, Jeff Lewis and Benny Joe Wainscott.

Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
