Service Friday for Chris Gilbert

Christopher James Gilbert, a resident of Henryetta, Oklahoma, passed from this life at the age of 26 years on February 10th , 2019.
Chris was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on S e p t e m b e r 1st , 1992 to Debbie (Gasaway) Gilbert and Jim Gilbert. He graduated from Henryetta High School in 2012 and a t t e n d - ed Green Country Technology Center, and afterwards, pursued a career as a diesel mechanic. Chris worked at MHC Kenworth in Tulsa, Kelco Inc. in Okmulgee, and Interstate Diesel LLC in Henryetta. He was a member of the Henryetta Church of Christ. He had a deep love for his family, friends, and the outdoors, which included riding 4-wheelers, hunting, boating, working on various projects, and spending time in the mud with his friends.
Chris is survived by his mother, Debbie Gilbert of Henryetta, father, Jim Gilbert of Tulsa, grandmother, Ruby Gasaway of Henryetta, aunts Liz Pistole and husband Gary of Choctaw, Joann Pigeon and husband Virgil of Weleetka, Susie Walcher and husband Rex of Henryetta, Paula Kissee and husband Roger of Henryetta, uncles Steve Gilbert and
Joy of Bixby , Terry Gilbert and Debbie of O k l a h o m a City, many cousins, and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Roy Gasaway, and grandparents, Steven and Lavada Gilbert.
Services will be held at the Henryetta Church of Christ Friday, February 15th , 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Rex Walcher will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Joey Trujillo, Carson LaValley, Brad Simms, David Kennedy, Brandon McCoy, David Brinkley, Garrett Decker, Jeff Kinsey, Jon Evans, Jordan Madison.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Kissee, Virgil Pigeon, Michael Pigeon, Justin Stephens, Gary Pistole.
Interment will follow at Salt Creek Cemetery under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka and Weleetka.
