Service Friday for Joyce Hunter
Joyce Mignon Batter-shell Hunter was lifted by her Savior Jesus Christ to her eternal home in Heaven on September 1, 2019.
She was born to John Wesley and Ruby Lee (Owens) Battershell on October 8, 1956.
She is predeceased by her father and survived by her mother; her daughter, Christi Ready; two grandchildren, Jayden and Jocelyn Ready; her sister, Patsy, and two younger brothers, John, Jr. and Mark, as well as two nieces, Kelly Saslow and Katelyn Battershell, and a nephew, Bradley Battershell.
Joyce faced life’s struggles with a wit and humor that endeared her to all who had the good fortune to know her. She had within her infinite forgiveness, a rare depth of kindness for others, and an ever-present love for her family. Her faith in God was strong from an early age.
Now Joyce is rewarded for her goodness with eternal love, beauty, and peace.
Graveside service will be 10:30 AM Friday, September 6th , at Gerty Cemetery.
