Service Friday for Mark Yates

Mark Anthony Yates gained his wings on Tuesday, May 14 2019, in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 56.

Mark was born December 23, 1962 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Roy Yates and Joyce Griggs Yates.  Mark graduated from Holdenville public schools and later received his Associate Degree from OSU Tech.  Mark was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.  

He worked with plumbers and pipe fitters Union Local 344 Oklahoma City.  Mark owned his own plumbing business and later worked on the

pipeline as a heavy equipment operator.  He enjoyed raising cattle, working, fishing, riding ATV’s, hunting and giving everyone a hard time but above all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family.  Mark had a personality like none other, he was kindhearted and he would help anyone in need and fix anything.  

Mark is survived by his parents; sons David and his wife Jessica Yates from Holdenville, and Andrew Yates of Holdenville; sister Renee Snider and husband Gary of Wyoming; grandchildren, Landen Yates, Lainee Yates, Laken Yates and Chloe Lockhart and the love of his life Angie Yates.  

Funeral service will by 2:00 pm Friday, May 17th , at the Hudson Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville, Oklahoma with Pastor Abe Gomez officiating and assisted by Deacon

Kelly Evans. Interment will follow at Yeager Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Brian Stapp, Dylan Stapp, Mike Goodson, Kyle Pipkin, Chad Rogers and Danny Lucas.  Honorary pallbearer is Gordon McKane.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Holdenville, Oklahoma.
