Modean Ferren Beck was born December 17, 1930, in Stuart Oklahoma to Joe and Mabel (Bannon) McDonald. She married John K. Ferren (deceased) on December 22, 1960 and was married for 32 years. Modean married her second husband in 1994 Nolan Beck (deceased) and were married 19 years until his death.

Modean retired from Wolverine Tube, Shawnee, as a tool crib operator. She had worked as a seamstress for many years after graduating from Calvin High School and worked in various industry, after. Modean had many interests. She enjoyed her family and having gatherings in her home, gardening, antique shopping/collecting/trading, refurbishing old furniture, baking, and many other things.

She attended Calvin Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years and worked as a Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Anderson (son-in-law, Ken Anderson) of Marquand, Missouri, and a son, Joel Ferren (married to Alyson Ferren) of Danville, Illinois; step-children

Barbara, Ferren, Johnny Ferren, Calvin Ernest Ferren, Ray Beck, and Janet Geere; grandchildren include Johnathan Martin, Anisha Clemens, Noah Ferren, and Emma Ferren; great-grandchildren include MaKenna Macaughey, Madison Macaughey, Landen Tucker, Kylie Clemens, and Carter Clemens. She has six brothers, Woodrow McDonald, Robert McDonald (deceased), Ronnie McDonald, Edward McDonald, and Ben McDonald (deceased), and Dan McDonald; and three sisters, Mary Mc Donald (deceased), Betty Collins (deceased) and Neda Fae Broege. Also, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents two sisters and two brothers. Modean died on Friday, August 19, 2022 in the home. She passed 30 years to the day of her late husband, John R Ferren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00am, Friday, August 26, at Calvin Cemetery Chapel, Calvin, Oklahoma.
