Service Friday for Virginia Lou Jones
Virginia Lou Jones passed away Monday, January 2, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 72.
Virginia was born October 24, 1947 in Calvin, Oklahoma to James “Willie” Pickett and Novelta (Ladd) Pickett. Virginia attended Calvin public school and in later years married Jim Jones. Virginia was a nurse’s aide in Wewoka and she retired in 2017. Virginia enjoyed fishing, football, eating good ribs, going to casinos, her grandchildren and family.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim Jones, three sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her sons James Hudson and wife Cheri of Tuttle, Tony Hudson of Oklahoma City, and Sidney Hudson and wife Deah of Tuttle; grandchildren Jon Hudson and wife Alex Hudson, Jamie Hudson, Presley Hudson, Bryan Hudson, Kaylee Smith, Kyla Smith, Seth Hudson, Emmylou Hudson, and Kaleb Smith; and brother Larry Pickett and wife Paula of Holdenville, Oklahoma.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 24th , at Calvin Cemetery Chapel in Calvin with Rev Jim Lawrence officiating. Pallbearers are Ronnie Pickett, Eric White, Jon Hudson, Bryan Hudson, Kaleb Smith, James White, Toby Pickett and Seth Hudson.
Family and friends gathering 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday January 23, 2020 at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
