Service held for Charles Steven Hanes

Services for Charles Steven Hanes, 68, of Gerty, Oklahoma were 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 11 th , at the Allen Church of Christ, Allen, Oklahoma, Bret Moore officiated. A Committal Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Llano Cemetery East in Amarillo, Texas.

Mr. Hanes passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020, at his home. He was born September 21, 1951 in Canyon, Texas to C. C. and Lula Mae Taylor Hanes. He graduated from Hart High School and received a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Science from Lubbock Christian University.

He married Gwyn Moore June 26, 1972. Mr. Hanes was a farmer and rancher and a member of the Allen Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Gwyn Hanes, of the home; his children, Denea Collings and husband Stephen, Rockwall, Texas, Kyle Hanes, Elkhart, Kansas, Shae Raymond Kade Hanes, Midland, Texas and Cason Hanes and wife Jen, Ft. Worth, Dakota, Kyra, Mikah, Kory and Kavyn; and two brothers, Clay Hanes and husband Joby, Highland Village, Texas, Texas; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, and wife Tonya, New Boston, Texas and Chris Hanes and wife Shelly, Amarillo, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C. C. Hanes and Lula Mae Hanes.
