Service held for David Brian Rogers

David Brian Rogers was born September 17, 1967 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to David Brankley Rogers and Joyce (Philpot) Rogers and passed from this life August 9, 2022 at his home in Wetumka at the age of 54.

Brian was raised in the Beggs and Okmulgee areas and was a 1985 graduate of Okmulgee High School. He later attended Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton on a baseball scholarship. He later joined the Oklahoma National Guard and honorably served his country.

As a young man he was married to Kris and to this union a son Brandon was born. He later married Becky Rogers and they had a son Collin who preceded them in death on November 24, 2019.

Brian began training as an electrician and made it his lifelong profession. He had most recently worked for American Electric in Olathe, Kansas. He moved to Wetumka a short time ago due to failing health and to be near family.

Survivors include: a son Brandon Rogers of Broken Arrow; a stepdaughter Chloe Favor and her children Maddux and Marshall of Claremore; a sister Denise Rogers-Green and husband Jason of St. Louis, Missouri; a niece Kaitlyn Donathon who is stationed in Hawaii with the United States Navy and a nephew Keaton Donathon, and wife Jacquline, of Temple, Texas; a longtime friend Bart Harvey, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

A memorial service was held Saturday, August 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home in the Spradlin Memory Chapel, 221
