Service held for David Siah Yargee

Funeral services for David Siah Yargee were held Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Alabama Quarssarte Community Center in Wetumka, Oklahoma. Wake services were Monday, 7:00 PM also at the Alabama Quarssarte Community Center.

David Siah Yargee was born November 26, 1940 in Fish Creek, Hughes County, Oklahoma to Phillip and Lesta (Barnett) Yargee. He passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 78.

David was a longtime resident of the Wetumka area. He proudly served his country with the United States Navy. David worked as a compliance officer, and with Seminole Nation before retirement. He enjoyed making bows and gardening and was a member of the Sand Creek Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; 2 brothers, Sam and Roman and one sister, Bessie. He is also preceded in death by Joseph Yargee, John King, Wallace Scott, Henry Yargee, and Phylis Yargee.

He is survived by his three daughters, Deeann Yargee and husband Leslie Dyer of Wetumka, Shannon Yargee of Tulsa and Samochee Barnet of Okemah; four brothers, Tarpie Yargee of Okemah, Robert of Okemah, Jackie of Wetumka and Steven of Muskogee; three sisters, Evelyn McLemore of Wetumka, Josephine Yargee of Holdenville and Rovena Yargee of Holdenville; 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Serving as active pallbearers were John Yargee, Neil Taylor, Josh Roberts, Alex Yargee, Ricky Montemayor, Hillis Herrod and Ryan Herrod.

Honorary bearers were Don Tiger, Tony Buck and Louis Scott.

Services were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral, Wetumka, Oklahoma and officiated by Bro. Don Tiger.
