Service held for Dwight Reams

Dwight Alvin Reams, 1925-2018, died peacefully in his home on Thursday, December 20, 2018, with his family at his side.  

Through the years, Dwight served his community in civic roles in Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.  Throughout his life he held positions in a variety of jobs including as a “tool pusher” with National Supply, and as a manager for oilfield supply stores in many locations.  He owned and ran Gambles, a supply store in Oshkosh for many years before moving to Holdenville, Oklahoma.  He spent his final years in Holdenville as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, as a host for the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, and he lovingly maintained the grounds and building for his church.

Dwight was a faithful catholic and shared his love for Christ with his wife Ina until his final breath.  He will always be remembered for his devotion as a husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family beyond measure.  

He will be sorely missed and is survived by his wife Ina; daughters Barbara (Randall), Beverly (Terry), and son George; grandchildren Randa, Adam (Cheryl), Christina (David), Heather (Garrick), Brittany, Todd (Aubrey); Ina’s daughter Pam (Brent), and son Tom (Sharla); grandchildren Jared and Amber; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

He was predeceased by his wife Pauline; parents Floyd and Josephine; his brother Warren (Leatha); and sister Dolores.  

The Rosary was held at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel on December 23rd in Holdenville at 6:00 pm.  The funeral mass will be held at St. Stephens Catholic Church on Monday, December 24th , in Holdenville at 10:30 am.  Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Stephens Catholic Church or to Catholic Charities in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Holdenville, Oklahoma
