Service held for J.D. Marshall

J.D. Marshall passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Alliance Health Midwest in Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 75.

J.D. was born July 1, 1943 in Dustin, Oklahoma to George Marshall and Mammie Leetka.  He attended Dustin public schools.  He married Celia Yahola and she preceded him in death.  J.D. was a heavy equipment operator and retired from the City of Midwest City and then from the City of Del City.  He was a member of the Pecan Grove church.  J.D. enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching his grandchildren play sports, stomp dancing, going to casinos and cooking.

J.D. is preceded in death by his parents; wife Celia; brothers Rolley Marshall, Sam Marshall and Julius Marshall; and sisters Cindy Marshall, Sarah Marshall and Salan Jacobs.  

He is survived by his son Donnie Marshall and wife Laura of Newalla, daughter Rayna Simpson and husband Randy of Midwest City, son J.D. Marshall, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Midwest City, and son Charles Marshall of Del City; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Oscar Marshall of Midwest City; sisters Georgeann Hicks of Weleetka and Wayne Kilo of Weleetka; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Wake service was 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday April 28th , at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Funeral service was 1:00 PM Monday, April 29th , at Alabama Quassarte Church. Interment followed at Yeager Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Spud Blanchard, Ca-den Blanchard, Gail Coslow, Keigin Pettit, Clayton Martinez and David Johnson.  Honorary pallbearers are Brett Marshall, J.D. Marshall, Donnie Marshall and Charles Marshall.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Holdenville, Oklahoma.
