Service held for Joseph Kyle Ledbetter

Joseph Kyle Ledbetter passed away on September 3, 2019, at the age of 33 years, in an automobile accident west of Chandler, Oklahoma.  

K y l e was the son of Curtis and Rene (Brown) Ledbetter, born on July 17, 1986, in S h a w n e e , Oklahoma. He grew up and attended schools in Holdenville. He married Brandi

Smith on May 24, 2014, in Lamar, Oklahoma, and they were parents of one daughter, Presley.

He worked in the oilfield and pipelining, and in concrete work with his father and grandfather. Some of his favorite things were hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed mushroom hunting. He loved making people laugh, and spending time with his daughter.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Floyd Ledbetter; his maternal grandparents, Dwight and Joyce Brown; and two uncles, Curtis Brown and Floyd Ledbetter Jr.

He is survived by his daughter, Presley Ledbetter of Lamar; his father and stepmother, Curtis and Cora Ledbetter of Holdenville; his mother, Rene Patterson of Midwest City; his stepfather, Lonnie Kulp and wife Carolyn, of Tecumseh; his paternal grandmother, Lahoma Sherrin of Depew; two brothers, Timothy Kulp and Michael Kulp, both of Wellston; one sister, Kaylynn Patterson of Midwest City; two stepbrothers, Christopher Wood of Ada, and Jonathan Woodard of Holdenville; the mother of his daughter, Brandi Smith of Lamar; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, September 9th , 11:00 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Home’s Lillye Chapel, and Kyle was laid to rest in a private family ceremony at Ledbetter Family Cemetery.
