Kenneth Lloyal Conn Jr. passed from this life in Oklahoma City on September 17, 2019. He was born in Ada, Oklahoma on January 29, 1969 to Kenneth and Mary (Jones) Conn.

Kenn graduated from Holdenville High School in 1987. He attended college at East Central University and Seminole State, where he played in the college band Permanent Issue. He was a phenomenal guitarist and was completely self-taught. Kenn played in several bands throughout his life. He started out playing heavy metal music and formed the band Destructive Criticism. (You can You-Tube his name and fi nd a couple of videos.) The latest band that he was a member of was Iron-horse. The group traveled throughout Oklahoma and brought a crowd wherever they went.

Music was Kenn’s life. It’s what brought him peace. He could play any instrument he was inclined to, including piano and flute, but the one he loved to play was the guitar. Playing guitar was his therapy. He could tell you the history of every guitar out there. He was a wealth of useless trivia just for fun, but he was full of meaningful information when it came to guitars and music.

Kenn was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Jones) Conn; grandparents Woodrow and Pauline Jones, Helen Conn, and Lloyal and Maurine Conn.

He leaves behind his father, Kenneth Conn Sr.; his sister, Amy Conn McDaniel; Niece Skylar Meeks and husband Dalton Meeks, great-nephew Chevy Meeks and great-nephew on the way Tate Meeks; as well as uncles, aunts, and cousins, and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at Barnard Memorial United Methodist Church in Holdenville, and Kenn was laid to rest at Holdenville Cemetery next to his beloved mother. Rev. Robert Foos was the officiating minister. Pallbearers were Jeff Kanard, Travis Black, Woodrow Black, Steve Eller, Dalton Meeks, and Kevin Smith. The HHS Class of 1987 served as honorary pallbearers.

Services were under direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Holden-ville. www.fi sherfh.net
