Service held for Lucy Mae Lowe

Lucy Mae (Simpson) Lowe was born to Lewis Simpson and Sonia (Harjo) Simpson on October 27, 1947 in Talahina, Oklahoma and passed from this life on February 25, 2019 in Eufaula, Oklahoma.

Lucy spent many of her days as a homemaker alongside her husband Amos Lowe. She also worked for a time in the sewing factory in Pharoah, Oklahoma, and later worked as a child care provider for the Creek Nation. Lucy loved to quilt as well as tend to her garden and flower beds. She was known for cooking for church functions at the First Baptist Church of Hanna, Oklahoma, of which she was a devoted member. Lucy was also a passionate supporter of all her family’s sporting events—there was never a ball game that she missed!

Lucy is preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Amos Lowe; by her son, Randy Lowe; by her sisters, Virginia Simpson and Della Fixico; by her brother, Charlie Simpson; and by her brother-in-law, Richard Fixico.

Lucy is survived by her son, Mose Lowe and wife, April, of Shawnee, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Tiffany Lowe, and Eli Berryhill, who was like a grandson to her; her brother, Kenneth Scott; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Lucy Mae Lowe were held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka, Oklahoma, in the Spradlin Memory Chapel at 1:00pm. Interment followed at Hanna Cemetery in Hanna. Rev. Dusty McKeefer officiated. Bryce Peace, Richard “Dino” Fixico, James Berryhill, Jeremy Tiger, Tommy “Kelly” Lowe, and Farrell Billy served as pallbearers. Ron Peace, Eli Berryhill, Ronnie Lowe, Thomas Billy, Franklin “Herbie” Billy, and Richard “Lulu” Williamson served as honorary pallbearers.
