Service held for Maxine O. Madden

Maxine O. Madden passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 98.

Maxine was born August 4, 1921 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Homer Madden and Bonnie Robinson Madden.  Maxine graduated from Canute high school and later received her Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma A & M.  She was a teacher at Spaulding and Porter schools in Oklahoma.  

She is a retired United States Air Force Lt. Col. and worked in Administration in the U.S. Air Force.  Maxine was the Women’s Auxiliary President for the Salvation Army in San Antonio, Texas and member of the service organization Zonta International.  

Family was foremost with Maxine and enjoyed spending time with friends, traveling, going to the opera and plays.  She was a very giving person.

Maxine is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, H o m e r “Boots” Madden, Glen Madden, Bland Madden, and Gerald Madden; sisters, Betty Jane Madden, Mildred Madden and Bille Jean Baker.  

She is survived by numerous nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 11th , at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Holdenville Cemetery
