Service held for Patricia Blanton

Patricia Lynn ‘Pat’ Blanton passed away in Oklahoma City on Friday, January 3, 2020, at the age of 73 years. Pat was the daughter of Ivan Ray Gerhart and Erma Imogene (Miller) Gerhart, born on December 1, 1946, in Richmond, California, where she was brought up and attended schools. She graduated Richmond High School in 1964. She was married to Donald Gene Underwood, and later to James Roy Blanton; both husbands preceded her in death. She lived in Richmond until age 33, when she moved to Oklahoma. She lived for several years in Sulphur before moving to Holdenville, where she worked for eight years as a cook for Holdenville Schools. She loved reading and working puzzles. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Pat is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one daughter, Karen Underwood, on March 9, 2017; one granddaughter, Melody Hill. She is survived by two sons, Darren Ray Gerhart of Mill Creek, and James Eric Blanton of Stuart; twenty grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Eugene Gerhart of California; two sisters, Irma Louise Harris of Gar Corner, and Nita June Patrick of Sulphur; three stepdaughters, Carolyn Barnes, Misty Wills, and Tamara Garrison, all of Davis; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8th , and Pat was laid to rest at Holdenville Cemetery, with Rev. Frank Moppin officiating. Services were under direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Holdenville.
