Service held for Sylvia Peace
Sylvia Glendena Peace passed away Thursday, August 8th, 2019 in her home in McAlester, Oklahoma at the age of 70.
Sylvia was born October 28, 1948 to Glenn Sharum and Ida Rachael McKay Sharum in Sayre, Oklahoma. Sylvia graduated from Jacksonville Public School in Florida and received her Bachelors of Science degree from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. She was a teacher at Moss, Indianola and Bethal Acres. She married
Jackie Ray Peace on October 28, 1983 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She enjoyed art, coloring, reading, cooking, traveling, word games and paper dolls.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Jeff Ingram, Richard Ingram and Dennis Menton.
Sylvia is survived by her husband, Jackie Peace of the home; daughter Elizabeth Deakins and husband Blake of Owasso; son Robert Patrick and wife Jessica of Lewisville, Texas; daughter Rebecca Nelms and husband Jeremy of McAlester; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Glenn Robinson of Holdenville; sister Gail Roberts of Stillwater; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were 1:00 pm Monday, August 12th , at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers were Christian Nelms, Caleb Nelms, Alex Humbles, Jacob Hance, Jeremy Nelms, and Blake Deakins. Interment followed at Holdenville Cemetery.
Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Holdenville, Oklahoma.
