Service held for Torrence “T.J.” Wesley

Torrence James ‘T. J.’Wesley passed away in Oklahoma City on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at the age of 30 years.

T. J. was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on January 9, 1989, to Wyslie (Wesley) Gallardo. He was brought up by his adoptive parents, Andrew Wesley and Shirley (Coon) Wesley, in Holdenville. Following high school, T. J. moved to Ada, obtained his GED, and worked as an inspector/packer for Dart Containers. He has been with his life partner, Dakota Duncan, for 11½ years and together they have a daughter, Amiyah Wesley, and a son, Deacon Wesley.

T. J. enjoyed computers and electronics, and playing video games. He loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Andrew Wesley; his brother, Temish Wesley; maternal great-grandparents, Rev. Arthur Coon and Eliza (Carpitcher) Coon, and paternal grea-grandparents, Howard and Emma (Herrod) Wesley.

He is survived by his wife, Dakota, daughter Amiyah, and son Deacon, all of the home; his mother, Shirley Wesley of Wewoka; his brother, Siah Wesley (Micki) of Mustang; his birth mother, Wyslie Gallardo; his brother, Titusie Berry-hill and sister, Sarah Berryhill, both of Wetumka; and a host of relatives and friends

Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 31st , 2:00 p.m. at Rock Spring Indian Baptist Church in Sasakwa with Rev. Jimsey Harjo and Rev. Newman Crowels officiating. Pallbearers were Jarod Ruth, Adam Yahola, Charles Tiger, Kris Con-lee, Kendall Conlee, and Kevin Lowe. Honorary pallbearers were Eduardo Aguirre, Rickie Sheets, Michael Jefferson, and Walter Larney.

Services were under direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Holdenville.
