Service Saturday for Bobbie Joe Robinson, Jr.

Posted in:

Bobbie Joe Robinson Jr. passed away at his home in Holdenville on Friday, July 1, 2022, at the age of 59 years.

Bobbie was the son of Bobbie Joe Robinson Sr. and Pauline (Lovette) Robinson, born on March 22, 1963 in Chula Vista, California where he was brought up and attended schools. He moved to Holdenville, Oklahoma in the 1980s and worked for many years in the oil field, proud of his work on the “tower.” He and Lynn Martin have been together as a couple since 1998.

Bobbie was kind and friendly, and would go out of his way to help anyone in any way he could. He was a diligent worker and took pride in anything he accomplished, and he could improve, fix, repair and care for just about anything from small motors to duct work to flowers to people he loved. He liked to stay busy, and very often he was busy helping others with various tasks, making the load lighter for family, friends, and strangers.

He enjoyed fishing and camping, collecting arrowheads and marbles, and had a keen interest in learning. He loved music and concerts, and especially loved playing guitar. Bobbie was a humble and gentle man, and he will be missed far more than he would ever have imagined.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bobbie Joe Robinson Sr.; his sister, Debrah Douglass, and brother Terry Edward Robinson; grandson Tommy Lee Martin and granddaughter Addalynn Mae Bakken.

He is survived by his life partner of more than twenty-five years, Melissa Lynn (Gentry) Martin, of the home; three children, daughters Crystal Robinson of Mosinee, Wisconsin and Payton Robinson of Holdenville, and son Bobbie Joe Robinson III, also of Holdenville; stepson Stephen Lee Martin of Choctaw; his grandson, who was the light of his life, Braxton Webster; siblings Michael Fusco of Chula Vista, California, Nicholas Fusco, Lisa Morgan, Timothy Robinson, and Bernadine Borders, all of Holdenville; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, July 9, 7:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel in Holdenville, with Rev. Kevin Fisher officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Dewayne Johnson, Kevin Vance, Robbie Armstrong, Roger Crawford, Kevin Fisher, Brett Howell, Timmy Reid, John Tallant, Robert Burton, and Dean Goforth. www.fisherfh.net
