Dwyane Berry Coats died at his home on December 10, 2018 after a determined struggle with a prolonged illness.

Dwyane was a successful businessman for many years in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in the home building and concrete construction fields.  He was a United States Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.

Dwyane was a kind and generous man who kept to his own counsel, valued integrity and honesty in all areas of his life, and chose friends and acquaintances with those shared values.  He was an animal lover and often referred to his two dogs as “his girls,” spoiled the neighbor’s horses with treats, and spent time everyday observing wildlife while taking care of the property at his beloved home in Argyle.

Dwyane is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Bob Berry of Ada, Oklahoma; his son, Jason; his aunt, Rose Linton; cousins Steve, Gary and Gene Linton; nieces Debbie Sanders and Carol Jean McClinton; other numerous nieces and nephews, all of Oklahoma; and his companion of over 30 years, Sharon Clark of Argyle.  He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Woodrow Wilson Coats and Ida Ingram Coats.

A graveside memorial service is planned for Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Non Cemetery in Non, Oklahoma.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society of North Texas in Fort Worth are appreciated.

Services are under the direction of Hudson Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma
