Service Saturday for Eldean Reeder

Doris “Eldean” Reeder passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019 at home in Stuart, Oklahoma at the age of 89.

Eldean was born April 28, 1930 in Stuart to Noah Sutterfield

and Winnie Davis Sutterfield.  She attended Rock Creek and Stuart public schools.  Eldean married Alvin Reeder in McAlester on December 23, 1949.  She was a member of Bohannon Church.  Eldean liked crocheting, quilting, piecing puzzles together and working crossword puzzles.  She was an avid Stuart Hornets fan, Oklahoma City Thunder and she loved spending time with family.

Eldean was preceded in death by her parents and husband, of 67 years, Alvin Reeder.  

She is survived by her son, Milford Reeder and wife Mary of Ponca City; daughters, Karen Yarbrough and husband Quinton of Gerty, and Kathy Moore and husband Robert of Stuart; grandchildren Melissa Poling and husband Scott, Matthew Reeder of Ponca City, Melanie Yarbrough-Tomlinson of Calvin, and Shaunda Kindrix of Madill; numerous great-grandchildren; brother Dale Sutterfield and wife Charlene of Stuart; sisters, Dottie Lessert and husband Jim of Ponca City, Linda Lee and husband Dennis of Ponca City, Glenda Prater and husband Don of Oklahoma City, and Wanda Blasengame of Stuart; and numerous other relatives, friends and two special Hornet players, Kaleb Wilson and Megan Jernigen.

Family gathering and viewing will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, November 15th , at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Holden-ville, Oklahoma.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, November 16th , at the Bohannon Church in Stuart with Pastor Tracy Lenox officiating and assisted by Pastor Cecil Day. Interment will follow at Bohannon Cemetery in Stuart.

Pallbearers are Kevin Clift, Terry Blasengame, Larry Reeder, Bill Mys-key, Jeremy Luker and Craig Overton.  Honorary pallbearers are Pete Lane, Gene Clift, John Bane, Ronald Davis and Denny Boren.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Holdenville, Oklahoma.
