Service Saturday for Joanna Black

Joanna Black was born August 10, 1937 in Bartlesville, OK to Bob and Dorothy Leisure. She went to be with the Lord February 10, 2021 at the age of 83 years, at Elmbrook Nursing Home in Ardmore, OK.

Joanna is survived by her four children, Julie Price of Lindsay, OK; Bob Black and wife Teresa of Holdenville, OK; Joe Black and wife Angie of Sherman, TX; Bill Black and wife Sandy of Lone Grove, OK. She is also survived by a cousin, Bill Daily of Fort Walton Beach, FL. Eight grandchildren, Chad Price, Scott Black, Andy Black, Abby Black, Anna Black, Nathan Harrell, Ryan Harrell and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Kathy Black. She worked for more than 30 years for the First United Bank in Holdenville. She was a member and actively involved in the First United Methodist church. She loved her family and was an amazing cook. Her favorite activities were fishing and attending the sporting events of her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Holdenville, OK, on Saturday, February 20 at 11:00 AM. Her son, Rev. Bill Black, will be officiating.
