Service set for Leestra Robinson

Leestra Shatia Robinson of Holdenville, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa at the age of 28 Years. She was born May 11, 1992 to Regina Griffis Robinson and Sydney Robinson Sr. in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Leestra attended all Holdenville Public Schools and she graduated in 2010. She received an Associate Degree and Master Certificate in Child Care from Seminole State College. She became a member of the Galilee Baptism Church under Pastor L.T. Crawford and later baptized at Shiloh Baptist Evangelist Temple COGIC under the leadership of Overseer John T. Berry where she became an active member and remained there until her death.

Leestra worked at Wal-Mart and enjoyed the people she come in contact with, but her passion was children. It seems there wasn’t a child not attracted to her, she had a lot of favorites. She was always trying to think of ways to improve herself so that she may be a better teacher and one day own her own center. There are so many female entrepreneurs and females in leadership positions that she had much love and respect and took a little bit from each one of them. She was currently employed at the Barking Water Child Care Center.

Leestra leaves to cherish her memories her mother Regina and brother Sydney of the home; her dad Sydney Sr. of Tulsa; grandmother Evangelist Celesta Tubbs and Pastor George Tubbs; one uncle Eric Bradley of Wewoka; several aunts, Denise (Bernard) Dindy, KaraSheila “Toy” Hughes, Ta-Tanisha Moore, S h a w n Andrews, La-Sheika (Paul) Brantley all of Tulsa, Shavonne Andrews of Wichita, Kansas, Faye Edwards and Clairetha Davis of Lima Oklahoma, and Joann Napoleon of Midwest City; two great aunts Edna Williams of Oklahoma City and Carol Jackson of Okmulgee; and a host of relatives and cousins who are like brothers and sisters.

Masks are required at the private services for family members and invited guests only. Services will be live streamed on Phillips Funeral Service Facebook Page.

Services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 26th , at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Berry officiating. Burial will be in the Holdenville Cemetery.
