RONNIE RETURNS HOME. Ronald L. Broaddus of Fredricksburg, TX was born August 15, 1939 in Holdenville, OK. Ronnie lost his life to cancer on January 14, 2019.

Ron led a dynamic, exciting and eventful life. He joined the U.S. Navy at age 18. After his discharge at age 22, Ron began his real estate career with huge visions, a small budget and an ability to work hard. He worked his way up to designing mobile home communities in Southern California. His charisma and charm brought many great people into his life that believed in him and wanted to see him succeed, and that he did.

Ron pursued an affiliation with the Masonic Lodge, and to this day is the youngest Worshipful Master ever installed in the state of California. He eventually became the Grand Orator of the Grand Lodge of California and Hawaii.

In one of the regrets of his life, Anita (Riddle), the mother of his three children, and Ron were divorced. Shortly after, Ron met Debbie and they married in 1981. A true love story that lasted 38 years.

Ron and Debbie moved to Sisters, Oregon where they created one of the country’s best equestrian development/communities, Cascade Meadows Ranch. After 17 years in Oregon, they ultimately moved to Fredricksburg, Texas where they opened Cornerstone Properties.

Ron believed in the blessed hope of eternal life with his Lord and Savior.

He is preceded in death by parents, Speck and Grace Broaddus, grandparents, Harvey L. and Mertie l. Loftis, Aunt Lorene Pound and Uncle Carl Loftis.

He is survived by his wife Debbie Bray Broaddus of Fredricksburg, TX, three children: Kelly Broaddus of Flagstaff, AZ, Kim Shurley of Loveland, CO, Ronald Todd Broaddus of Holdenville, 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and special beloved cousin, Carla Sue Holcomb of Oklahoma City.
