Service Thursday for George Carter

George Thomas Carter, Jr. passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019 in his home in Wewoka, Oklahoma at age 93.

George was born November 27, 1925 in Durham, Arkansas to George T. Carter and Martha Ellen Gabbard Carter. He married Dorothy Jean Catlett in Holdenville, Oklahoma on June 8, 1944. He worked for Tenneco Oil and was the production superintendent for the eastern half of the United States. George was a member of Gleaners Holiness Church in Wewoka. He enjoyed fi shing, traveling, teaching the Bible and going to church.

George is proceeded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy Carter, daughter Linda Jean Watts and twelve siblings.

He is survived by sons George Michael Carter of Wewoka and Robert William Carter and his wife Donna of Broussard, Louisiana; fi ve grandchildren Vickie, George, Charles, Gene, and Michelle; eight great-grandchildren and nineteen great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Pastor Lewis, Lloyd Cross, Harold Limberson, Rick Chesser, Billy Ellis and Dave Kaylor.

Funeral service will be 2:00 Thursday, February 21st , at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville, Oklahoma with Pastor Larry Chess-er officiating. Interment will follow at Holden-ville Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Holdenville, Oklahoma.
