Service Today for “Sissie Cay” Herrington

Anita “Sissie Cay” Buck Herrington passed away Friday, April 5, 2019, in Oklahoma City at the age of 59.

Sissie Cay was born October 8, 1959 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Nathan “Wahoo” Buck and Norma Jean Sharpe. She graduated from Wewoka High School and later worked as a bus driver for Holdenville schools. She always had a smile and a hug for everyone, Sissy Cay loved life and people, she was very social and always helping others.

She is survived by her mother Norma Jean Sharpe of Seminole; her husband Michael Herrington of Wewoka; children Jesse and wife Robin Long of Ada, Melinda Chupco and fiance Alex Harjo of Holdenville, and Kevin Workman of Arkansas; brothers, Rob Buck of Wewoka, Mitch Buck and wife Dee of Ada, and Guy Buck of Holdenville; sisters Michelle Sanchez and husband Mike of Holdenville, and Debbie Coker and husband Rob of Wewoka; grandchildren Jessica Long, Heaven Long, Gauge Long, and Randall Al-dabbagh; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, her father and a brother.

Wake service was 7:00 p.m. Tuesday April 9th , at Many Springs Baptist Church in Holdenville. Wake 2 was held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday April 10th , at Middle Creek #2 in Holdenville.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 Thursday, April 11th , at Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa with Pastor Frank Moppin, Jimmy Anderson and George Harjoche offi ciating . Interment followed at Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Buck, Kevin Givens, Greg Buck, Mikey Sanchez, Alex Harjo and Lance Buck. Honorary pallbearers were Herschel Wise, Leo Fish, John Beaver, Lindsey Buck, Bobby Buck, Richard Buck, Otis Buck, Chebon Buck, Rusty Gelino, Gavin Ewoldt, Mike Sanchez Sr. and Trask Coker.
