Glenn William Herrod was born April 12, 1962 in Lynwood, California to William Buddy and Carlene (Hornell) Herrod and passed from this life as the result of a tragic accident on August 8, 2020 at the age of 58.

Glenn spent his early years in California where he attended grade school before his family relocated to Utah. In 1971 his father passed away and his mother moved the family to Oklahoma City. There he attended Douglas High School. While still in Oklahoma City in 1984 he was sent to prison where he spent the next 33 years. While incarcerated he became very active in Native American ministries and was the leader of the praise and worship team wherever he was sent. He played the bass guitar and sang the lead vocals. Following his release in 2017 he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to be near family. The following year while back in Oklahoma he married Carol Battiest. He was back and forth between Oklahoma and New Mexico, but he and Carol called Oklahoma City their home.

Glenn loved singing and playing guitar. He also enjoyed bead work and was a fine auto mechanic. When he was tragically killed, he had just returned to Wetumka to work on the family property west of town where he was planning to make a home.
