Funeral services for Tilda Harjo, Wetumka resident, were held Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the First Assembly of God Church in Wetumka, Oklahoma. Wake services were Monday, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Wetumka, Oklahoma.

Tilda Harjo was born October 14, 1957 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Martin Smith and Lizzie Scott. She passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at her home in Wetumka, with family by her side, at the age of 64.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Red Harjo; one son, Chris Harjochee; two grandsons, Manuel Sanchez and Carl Harjochee and two great-nieces, Hannah and Josie Landers.

She is survived by her sons, Clint Harjochee of Allen, Oklahoma, Anthony Harjochee of Oklahoma City, Charles Broncho of Indiana, Harbor Harjochee of Okemah, Gary McInturff of Hollywood, Florida and “special son” Anthony Mouser of Dustin; daughters, Esther Harjochee of Oklahoma City, Abbie Harjochee of Wetumka, Monica Cypress of Hollywood, Florida and “special daughter” Jodi Lea of Okemah; one brother, Rufus Scott of Wetumka; one sister, JoAnn Turner and husband Jerry of Okemah; grandchildren, Stacey, Kendra, Brianna, Chassidy and Tyler Harjochee, Kayla, David, Kizzie, Kelcey and Dylan Broncho, Tyler, Lea, Mvnecha, Jaxon and Julia Harjochee, Felicia Sanchez, Johnathan Phillips and Gavin, Hayden and Dilly Danker and 10 great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida, and going out to eat. Tilda attended the First Assembly of God Church in Wetumka, Oklahoma and she also attended Sand Creek Church in Eufaula, Oklahoma.

Serving as active pallbearers were Anthony Mouser, Seneca Smith, Robert Soloman, Mason Harjo, Gavin Danker and Tyler Harjochee.

Honorary bearers included Donnie Goodin and David Broncho.

Services were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Wetumka, Oklahoma and officiated by Rev. Houston Tiger and Rev. Curt Bellinger.

Internment was in the Wewoka Indian United Methodist Church Cemetery, Yeager, Oklahoma.
