Venita Lea Tollett Sneed

Venita Lea Tollett Sneed of Wewoka, passed from this life on Friday, June 7, 2019 at her home. She was born October 26, 1932, to the late Tillmon and Retha Tollett and was raised in the Calvin and Gerty area.

She married Herbert Lee Sneed on October 5, 1949 in Holdenville. They would have celebrated their 70th year anniversary this year. They were of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and always turned to God in all life situations.

Venita was a provider and care giver to many of her family and friends.  She was loved and appreciated, by so many, for the miles she traveled and hours she provided.

She is survived and loved by Herbert of the home; her children Noel Sneed and wife Patricia of Wewoka, Danny Sneed and wife Kat of Oklahoma City, Enita Wilkes and husband Steve of Holdenville, Treasa Lewis and husband Durland of Harrah, Connie McCaig and husband Bill of Harrah, and Stanley Sneed and wife Dana of Meeker; sisters Helen Sanford of Farmington, Arkansas, Laverne Harden of Holdenville, Lotreavis Weber and husband Art of Branson, Missouri, Aligene Dotson of Whitesboro, Texas, Janice Cross and husband Gilbert of Prairie Grove, Arkansas,  and Roland Nickel of Ada; brothers Clem Tollett, and wife Imogene of Lincoln, Arkansas, Lynn Tollett and wife Glenda of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, and Delton Tollett and wife Brenda of Stuart; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren that she loved very much; plus lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Graveside service was Monday, June 10th , at 3:00 PM in the Calvin Cemetery with Bro. Tommy Alvarez officiating. Pall bearers were grandson and honorary pall bearers will be great-grandsons.

The family appreciates and thanks Emerald Hospice for the kindness and excellent care given to their Mother by all the staff.

Arrangements were by Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
