Vonda Kaye (Frye) Sanders was born in Weleetka, Oklahoma to Vernon Frye and Violet (Ellig) Frye on March 12, 1940. She passed away on September 11, 2020 in Oklahoma City. She was the wife of Ronnie Sanders. They shared over 55 years of marriage together, where they lived the last 40 years in Dustin.

Kaye is survived by her loving husband Ronnie Sanders, her 5 children, Max Frye of Dustin, Rodney Sanders and wife Anna of Wetumka, Lisa Smith of Dustin, Ann Purdom and husband Steve of Dustin, Ross Sanders and wife Jeannie of Dustin. 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Her sister Verna Mayfield and brothers, Vic Frye and Ray Frye.

Kaye is preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Violet Frye, and her grandson Max Frye Jr.

Kaye was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and she loved every moment spent with them. She loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She was able to help raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kaye lived a full life as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to cook and sew. Sewing was one of Kaye’s true joys. She was an incredibly talented seamstress.

She brought so much happiness to people. Kaye had a very caring and loving heart. She was always there for her loved ones, no matter what. She loved her family deeply and she will live on in the hearts of so many.

Graveside funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 16 at 2:00 pm at Dustin Cemetery in Dustin, Oklahoma.
