Wilbur Keith Street of Holdenville, Oklahoma passed away in his home December 14, 2021 at the age of 87. Keith was born January 2, 1934 in Loogootee, Indiana, the second child of eight, to Virgil Samuel Street and Myrtle Irene Abel Street.

At 18 years of age Keith enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country for eight years. In 1957, Keith met the love of his life, Genna Sue Griffin, in Odessa, Texas. Their first date was Friday the 13 of December 1957 where they attended a gospel meeting at the 6 th and Jackson Church of Christ. Keith and Sue were married on March 27, 1959. To this union were born four children, Victoria Suzanne, Steven Keith, Brian Douglas and Kristen Maria.

Keith lived a long and fruitful life for God. He preached and taught the Word of God for 50 plus years. His missionary work consisted of home Bible Studies, 16 trips to Ukraine, and 30 plus trips to Mexico. Through his evangelism thousands of people were able to hear the Gospel proclaimed and were baptized for remission of sins.

Keith was well known as the Voice of the Weleetka Outlaws. He announced the football games from the mid 70’s throughout the 80’s. Keith was also well known as the service manager at John Gibbs Motor Company in Holdenville. He had the reputation of treating people in a fair and honest manner.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; brother Donald Street; sisters Norma Lee Daly, Carolyn Fox, Marjorie Divine and Kathy Roy; and great-granddaughter Jordan Kendall.

He is survived by his wife Genna Sue Griffin Street of the home; Jim and Vicki Shepherd of Holdenville, Steven and Sherl Street of Vinita, Brian and Terra Street of Tulsa, and Kristi Street of Holdenville; grandchildren, Scott and Erin Street of Tulsa, Kelsey and Rory Kendall of Vinita, Rachel Street of Xenia, Ohio, Mark and Jessie Street of Tulsa, Brandon and Liz Street of Miami, Oklahoma, Stephanie Shepherd of Tulsa, and David Jhett Griffin Street of Holdenville; great-grandchildren, Chloe Hughes of Norman, Ronnie Graham of Catoosa, Axton Graham of Tulsa, Marleigh, Ryleigh and River Kendall of Vinita, Camden and Corbin Street of Miami and Emma Street of Tulsa; sisters, Marcella Weisheit of Haysville, Indiana, and Bernice Burress and husband Paul of Marshall, Illinois; as well as brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.

Keith has left a legacy for all who knew him as a God-fearing Christian man, who always had positive things to say about everyone. He will truly be missed.

Funeral service was 10:00 am Saturday, December 18 th , at the East Main Church of Christ in Holdenville with Kent Dowell officiating. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weleetka, Oklahoma.

Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
