No matter how much things may change, some truths never go out of style. Tell that to the unbelieving younger generation. Examples: Yo u can buy a house, but not a home. Yo u can buy a clock, but not time. You can buy a bed, but not sleep. You can buy a book, but not knowledge.

And in case you missed her first column, here is a little about Mrs. Yoder: “First of all I will introduce us Yoders, a total of 10 of us altogether. I am age 36, then is the other better half of me, my dear husband is also age 36.

This is a true story and a little different from my usual topics, but I thought it was hilarious, even a little racy. If you have young children or if you are fortunate enough to have young grandchildren, or know anyone who does, then you will probably relate to this young father’s dilemma.

For the past several weeks I have absorbed rhetoric on social media, and accounts from friends regarding the election of a new city council and ultimate appointment of a new mayor in my hometown of Wetumka.

This newspaper stands by everything we have written. We don’t “sneak in” our opinions. I give my opinion and I give it without any fear from disgruntled politicians. And what you consider “fake” or “dangerous” is in fact, just the truth.

Hello everyone. Due to the number of inquiries I have received, I felt compelled to explain the duties and responsibilities of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. You most likely are aware that each state is different; some states have a State Police, a State Patrol, or a Highway Patrol.

To the Editor: I am writing this letter to address comments in last week’s paper. Having law enforcement officers living in or near your town is not police protection. When I think of police protection, I would like officers to be able to respond in a reasonable time.
