WETUMKA — A traffic stop at the intersection of Main Street and Oklahoma Highway 9 led to the arrest of one individual and multiple charges involving alcohol, traffic violations and weapons, according to a report from the Wetumka Police Department.

This is only part of the incredible cast of Shrek the Musical at Wetumka Schools. It was a performance that the community will not soon forget.

Mama Bear (Maelee Clanton), Baby Bear ( Marley Ingle), and Daddy Bear (Dwayne Lowe) were one of the highlights in the school play.

WETUMKA - A Wetumka man was cited following a reported shoplifting incident at a local convenience store, according to a report from the Wetumka Police Department.The incident occurred between March 30 and March 31 at the Brake Time convenience store located at 203 N. Main Street.

The Wetumka Board of Education met in special session March 10, 2026, at the Wetumka Public Schools Administration Building, 416 S. Tiger, with President Rufus Scott calling the meeting to order at 6 p.m.Board members present included Donnie Williamson, Galen Glover, Jeff Osborn and Scott.
