Charles and Marlene (Brick) Gann were married on November 23, 1960. Charles was working on a pipeline job in Tipton, Iowa, and met Marlene who was working at a local hardware store. Marlene was 17 years old, and Charles was 21. Marlene said the Oklahoma cowboy with a southern accent fascinated her.
