We love to hear from our friends and had several great notes this week: Bill and Dayna, Thank you for all you do for Holdenville and keeping memories alive through the Tribune. Even though I live far away, I enjoy the paper and its stories.

On the morning of Sunday, June 21, 2020, all the family of Ernest and Mildred Moore gathered in their home to celebrate Ernest and Mildred’s 70 th wedding anniversary. The morning was spent taking pictures and catching up on the happenings of each other.

The Hughes County Sheriff’s Office and Hughes County EMS responded Friday, July 10, to a small plane crash within the county. The pilot was transported by Hughes County EMS paramedics to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. OHP, FAA, and NTSB are conducting the investigation.

Over 80 years ago a large group of Calvin residents gathered in front of the J.W. Hundley Company for one of their famous drawings. A picture was taken of the crowd and it is now on display. The 4th of July a large crowd gathered in the same location to have a similar picture taken.

A single vehicle accident Sunday evening resulted in one passenger, Hunter Morrison, 19, Holdenville, being transported to the OU Medical center by Medical Flight with multiple injuries, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Morrison was listed in stable condition in the report.
