SAVANNA ZACKERY is the daughter of Jennifer and Steven Zackery. Savanna has attended Weleetka for the past 12 years. She has been active in Basketball, Track, and FFA for the past 4 years. She has been a cheer leader for the past 2 years and has played fast pitch for 1 year.

It was 75 years ago this week that the U.S. Marines invaded Iwo Jima. (Feb. 19 th ) Japanese defenders were dug into bunkers deep within the island’s volcanic rocks. Approximately 70,000 U.S. Marines and 18,000 Japanese soldiers took part in the battle.

Clearview survived the capture of a murder suspect last week. The suspect was captured in a home in Clearview under the hands of an alert citizen who held him captive until law enforcements were to arrive and arrest him. The town is grateful that no others were hurt during this episode.
