Moss Elementary Awards

December 19, 2016 was a very sad day for Weleetka Graham EMS. The ambulance service had to be shut down due to lack of funding and personnel. Since that day, the eastern half of Okfuskee County has been without an ambulance service.

FORMER WETUMKA RESIDENT PAULINE LANEER WAS RECENTLY HONORED ON HER 101ST BIRTHDAY. Pauline and her late husband Loy owned and operated a local variety store for many years. Both were active in many organizations serving the Wetumka community.

We had two full tables of Moon domino players Monday night at the Nazarene Fellowship Hall. At table #1 - Cindy McDaniel and Lynn Marquis played against Faye Griggs and Sharon Dilday.  The first game lasted an hour long. Whew!

2020 HHS Basketball Homecoming Queen and King

The Freshman Candidate was Isabella Adam. Her parents are Miranda Adam and Shawn Olden. Her grandparents are Harold and Donna Adam and Margaret and Porter Olden. Isabella has played basketball and softball.

HHS SENIORS Lynn Foster being called by a new nickname after losing a bet to a junior—Lynn, we can’t have anymore of that . . . Ruth Smith wearing a cute new jumper . . . Christmas gift, Ruth? . . .Everyone trying to get back in the routine of school work after Christmas vacation . . .

TUESDAY NIGHT, FEBRUARY 4, ONE OF THESE YOUNG LADIES WILL BE CROWNED 2020 WETUMKA HOMECOMING QUEEN AND ONE OF THESE GENTLEMEN WILL SERVE AS 2020 HOMECOMING KING. This year’s Wetumka Homecoming and Senior Night will both take place Tuesday evening.
