As head coach for the last 40 years, Mike Snyder’s name is synonomous with high school football in Seminole.  He has been a central figure in town for many years as an active contributor to the community as well, assuring his name will be remembered long after a new coach takes his place.

OKLAHOMA CITY — James Berry II, with Mabrey Bank in Wetumka, recently completed the Oklahoma Bankers Association Consumer Lending School in Oklahoma City. Berry II was among 38 graduates of the school, which was held Oct. 7-11 at the OBA Harris Event Center.

Anneca Marie Anderson, daughter of Trilbya Stripling Anderson is a freshman at Shawnee High School. She participates in softball and basketball.

It was a welcome site to see so many enthusiastic students and instructors come to Clearview for one day to do community service. The students worked on a cold, rainy day in and around the old school gym and the Main Street Community Center.

According to a press release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), the death of a Wetumka man is being investigated as a murder. A suspect, Joshua Gann, 28, has been taken into custody and was booked into the Pontotoc County Jail.
