Reed Elementary to honor local veterans with special program

Reed Elementary students will be presenting a Veterans Day program at the Holdenville High school auditorium, Monday, November 9, 2019. The 3rd grade will perform “America from A-Z” at 10:00 a.m. and Pre-K through 2nd grade will perform at 1:00 p.m.

Remembering Evelyn Chatman Burton

Ms. Burton was born in Clear-view, OK, to Selbia Steward and Thomas Chatman. Her sisters are Ruby Bouldin, Leo-rah Shaw, and Verda Farmer. Her brothers are Shelbia, Tethro, Jethro, Tommie, and Thomas Chatman. She has two children: Gerald and Roslyn Burton.

Weleetka to host Wetumka Thursday evening

The Weleetka Outlaws had another great Friday night putting 44 points on the scoreboard and not allowing Cad-do to score at all. The runaway victory started in the first quarter when Weleetka scored 28 points. The first touchdown came on a 10 yard run by Daxton Carter.
