By Doyle Tampleton When I was a young teenager living in Holdenville, OK I would visit and hang out in Sims Grocery Store. Here Charlie Sims and his wife would sell groceries on credit, buy furs, and buy pecans.

The Wetumka City Council met on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. City Council members present were James Jackson, Rebecca Jackson and Randy Hinkley. Others present were Don Jett, City Manager and Aaron Kroier, City Clerk. Absent were Council members June Fixico and Norma Marshall.

Plain on attending the Clearview Rodeo and Parade on August 3 and 4, 2019. The town of Clearview is planning one of the biggest parades ever beginning at 4:00 p.m. on August 3rd . Please come and enjoy a welcome back to Clearview, spend the day and enjoy the rodeo.

Thieves are growing in Clearview. Several weeks ago, men in a red truck were spotted driving around town taking rose bushes from resident’s yards. Last week, someone drove by the Clearview Town Center on Main Street on two separate occasion and stole the beautiful planted pots from the front porch.

Peter Bush is doing very well after his surgery. Christopher Stripling continues to improve and doing very well. Danny Bush is getting great reports from his doctor and enjoying his new home in Weleetka.

Dana, daughter of Johnny and Veola West, and her husband Cedric and son were in Tulsa during their 20th anniversary. Helping them celebrate were Dana’s aunt Margaret and husband Joel Myers and nephew Taylor Ray.
