The District 2 County Barn has a roll-off dumpster available if anyone is needing to dump trash.

Writers’ Club to meet

Holdenville area Writers Club will be having a meeting on April 16th at 1:30 at the Holdenville Library. Anyone interested in writing is urged to attend. The writers help each other with editing, and other aspects of writing. Visitors are also welcome to attend.

Destiny Pasley chosen for NCHS

Destiny Pasley was recently elected as a member of Alpha Chi National College Honor Society for her academic ahievements at East Central University. She is an exceptional student in the English Department and has been on the honor roll every semester since beginning three years ago.

Threads of Life Getting Old

Like many of you, I was born before television, photocopies, contact lens, Frisbees and the pill. We did not have radar, credit cards, laser beams, or ballpoint pens. Panty hose, air conditioners, dishwashers and clothes dryers had not been invented yet.

Class of ‘69 planning 60th reunion

1969 Schubert Club THE BAPTIST CHURCH (FIRST) The First Baptist Church was one of the early churches in the town of Holdenville. I could find no record of the early organists or choir members except the reference I have made elsewhere of Miss Ann Marks, later, Mrs. Ann King.
