Town of Clearview is preparing for a few new paved streets on Banneker and Hettie leading to the old school gym. In addition, The Okfuskee County Commissioner District 3 is working this week on the streets and a paved parking lot at the Main Street Community Center on Main Street.

Clearview’s own Shirley Nero appeared on KOTV – Channel 6 news last week with Alicia Latimer of Rudisill Library to speak about the All-Black Towns of Oklahoma which is currently exhibited at the Sand Springs Cultural and Historical Museum.

The Senior Citizens of Lamar have enjoyed a couple of events recently. On March 14th they had a domino tournament at the Lamar Community Center. The participants were Sue Slater, Joyce Burton, Charlotte Miller and Justeen McCoy.

Voters in Hughes County who want to have absentee ballots mailed to them for the April 2nd Board of Educations and Municipal General Elections should apply now, County Election Board Secretary Brandy Davis said.
