The Wetumka Board of Education held their regular meeting, December 3, 2018. The following members, administrators, and personnel were present: Donna McGee, Rufus Scott, John Curtis, Allen Poole, Donnie Williamson, and Susan Tyra. Board member Brad Burton was absent.

Bea Price departed this life and went to claim her eternal heavenly reward on November 28, 2018 at the age of 101, just twelve days shy of her 102nd birthday. Birdie Beatrice Brooks was born on December 10, 1916 at her home near Hobson, northeast of Wetumka, Oklahoma.

STOUT BECOMES NEW PRESIDENT OF ASSOCIATION Ernie Stout, junior high school principal at Wetumka, became the new president of the Hughes County Education Association at a business meeting Thursday at Holdenville High School.
