Several members of the Clear-view Brown Suggas met with the County OHCE for their Winter Meeting and Holiday Treasures workshop held at the Okfuskee County Fair Building in Okemah on Tuesday, December 4th . Doris Johnston of Okemah group, presiding president called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

Coach Pennington came to Weleetka in 1967 to coach the girls’ basketball team. He never left, he retired from Weleetka High as the girls’ basketball coach. That first year he had four seniors, Sharon Johnson, Nancy Jackson, Helen Manley, and Shirley Ballard.

BIG SPRINGS by Mrs. William J. Smith Miss Helen Banta of Wetumka, Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Ray, became the bride of Jerry Doak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Doak of Big Springs, in a ceremony held November 28 at the home of the bridegroom’s parents. Rev. D.F. Burns of Wetumka read the vows.
